Daniel Wesley is a Canadian athlete who won 12 medals—four of which were gold—while competing in five Paralympic Games. Westley won gold medals in both winter & summer Games. After losing both of his legs in 1973 when he fell under a moving train, Wesley was inspired to try wheelchair athletics after meeting Rick Hansen. He eventually began sit-skiing and is known as a Canadian pioneer in the sport, pushing the limits on snow and showing the world the impressive art of sit-skiing.
