Kate Pace Lindsay won downhill gold in Kvitfjell, Norway on March 13, 1993 in what was the Olympic test event ahead of the 1994 Winer Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway. The relatively flat course worked well for Pace who was one of the best gliders in the world. Some of her competitors complained it was too easy for an Olympic race and the course was moved from Hafjel to Kvitfell where the men raced.
