LAUREN WOOLSTENCROFT

Few Canadian women dominated a sport the way Lauren did alpine skiing, earning four Crystal Globes for overall success in multiple disciplines, many discipline globes and over 60 World Cup wins. After the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, Lauren’s achievements continued to be recognized. Lauren was inducted into the Alberta, British Columbia, and Canadian Sport Halls of Fame in 2011, followed by inductions into the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame and the Victoria, BC Sports of Fame in 2015. Lauren was also awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Trent University in 2011; the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012; and the Meritorious Service Medal in 2016 for her contributions to Paralympic Sport.
