One of Manuel Osborne-Paradis most memorable victories came at the speed season-opener in November 2009 when he won the super-G in front of the home crowd at the Lake Louise World Cup. Just a few weeks later, he topped the downhill podium in Val Gardena, known as the Saslong Classic. His win at Lake Louise wrote his name in the history books as with it he became the first Canadian to win a World Cup downhill and super-G. He would go on to earn eleven World Cup podiums in his illustrious career.
